Secretary Clinton spoke with Foreign Minister Rudd by telephone last week on a range of pressing regional and global challenges. In that context, the two ministers discussed the Wikileaks disclosures. Secretary Clinton reiterated President Obama’s and her commitment to the U.S.-Australia bilateral relationship, and she emphasized her gratitude to Minister Rudd for his leadership and vision in helping guide the alliance in meeting the threats and opportunities of the 21st century. She underscored the value she placed on their personal partnership in tackling shared problems together.
