Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control, Verification and Compliance Rose E. Gottemoeller will travel to Central and Eastern Europe February 4 - 11, 2011.
Assistant Secretary Gottemoeller will join Secretary Clinton in Munich, Germany, for the exchange of instruments of ratification for the New START Treaty on February 5. From February 6 - 11 she will visit Kyiv, Ukraine; Riga, Latvia; Vilnius, Lithuania; Tallinn, Estonia; and Warsaw, Poland, where she will conduct a series of bilateral meetings to discuss next steps in arms control and brief officials on implementation of the New START Treaty.
