Special Advisor for Children’s Issues Ambassador Susan Jacobs will visit Japan, Republic of Korea and Kyrgyzstan February 5 – 16 for meetings on International Parental Child Abduction and Intercountry Adoption. She will meet with government officials to discuss how the United States can work together with the Japanese and Korean governments on International Parental Child Abduction cases, focusing on the welfare and protection of U.S. citizen children. She will meet with Kyrgyz officials to encourage the prompt resolution of 65 pending adoption cases in the best interests of the children.
