Secretary Clinton To Deliver Remarks at the First Ever Strategic Dialogue with Civil Society on February 16

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will deliver remarks at the first ever Strategic Dialogue with Civil Society on Wednesday, February 16, at approximately 10:00 a.m., in the Benjamin Franklin Room at the Department of State. Following her remarks, Secretary Clinton will lead the plenary session of the Dialogue with civil society representatives from more than 20 countries and senior Administration officials. Civil society representatives will also participate in the event via interactive video conferences at 50 embassies around the world. In Washington DC, civil society representatives taking part in the Dialogue will include Sherif Mansour of Egypt and Sima Samar of Afghanistan.

The opening remarks at the dialogue will be open to credentialed members of the media. This portion will also be streamed live on www.state.gov.
Pre-set time for video cameras: 9:00 a.m. from the 23rd Street Entrance
Final access time for journalists and still photographers: 9:30 a.m. from the 23rd Street Entrance
