On March 9, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Government of Norway, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Grand Challenges Canada, and The World Bank will announce a new partnership that will seek innovative solutions to reduce maternal and child mortality in developing countries.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah and Melinda Gates, Co-Founder and Co-Chair of The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, will deliver remarks at the event at approximately 9:00 a.m. on March 9 in the Rotunda Room of the Ronald Reagan Building.
