On Monday March 7, 2011, Ambassador Melanne Verveer and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus will speak at the launch of the State of the Microcredit Summit Campaign
Report 2011 by microfinance expert, Larry Reed. The report shows how microcredit can be a powerful tool for development and poverty alleviation, particularly for women. Larry Reed, the author of the report, will also speak. The event will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Murrow Room at the National Press Club located at 529 14th Street NW, Washington, DC.
