Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues Melanne Verveer will speak at the Sea Service Leadership Association’s 24th Annual Joint Women’s Leadership Symposium in San Diego, CA on March 15, 2011 as part of Women’s History Month. In concert with the symposium’s theme of Connect, Empower, Succeed, Ambassador Verveer will deliver remarks on advancing the role of women in peace and security.
The conference is one of the largest gatherings of women in uniform nationwide and will feature some of the most accomplished military women from across the services, as well as government and business leaders. It will take place at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina.
