Ambassador Robert G. Loftis will depart for Sudan on April 4th to meet with State Department and USAID officials at the U.S. Consulate General in Juba, and governors in southern Sudan, to discuss security and stabilization priorities. Ambassador Loftis will visit Civilian Response Corps members who are supporting the U.S. government’s intensified diplomatic and development efforts throughout the South by expanding the reach of the U.S. diplomatic mission, establishing a presence in local communities, and developing relationships with local leaders.
