Q: Does the Department have any information related to a U.S. academic arrested by Israeli authorities during protests in the West Bank last weekend?

A: We can confirm that a U.S. citizen was recently arrested by Israeli authorities. Privacy constraints preclude us from providing additional information about this individual’s case at this time.
