Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Beth McCormick and Slovenian Director-General for Global Issues and Multilateral Political Relations Andrej Benedejčič met May 19, 2011 in Washington D.C. for the 4th U.S.-Slovenia Political-Military Consultations. The talks built upon the success of the previous meeting held in Ljubljana in June 2010.
The U.S.-Slovenia Political-Military Consultations focus on a wide range of political-military issues, including shared strategic challenges in the region and continuing efforts to enhance partnerships in security cooperation, peacekeeping, non-proliferation, and disarmament.
