Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg will meet Australian Deputy Secretary Paul Grigson and Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Koro Bessho for a Trilateral Strategic Dialogue (TSD) Senior Officials Meeting on June 14 in Washington, D.C. The officials will discuss a range of pressing global issues including the situation in the Middle East and North Africa and Asia-Pacific regional architecture.
The United States, Australia, and Japan have met regularly since 2002 to discuss regional and global issues in the TSD. TSD meetings occur at various levels. The United States greatly values the opportunity to engage and coordinate with these major allies.
