Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism Hannah Rosenthal will travel to Lithuania and Belgium from June 16-22, 2011. In Lithuania, she will participate at the dedication of the Snipiskes and Paneriai memorials. She will also attend the International Historical Commission’s seminar on effective methods and principles in Holocaust education where she will address participating teachers.
In Belgium, Special Envoy Rosenthal will address the Second Conference on Jewish Media in Europe, sponsored by the European Jewish Press, and participate in the panel discussions on the use of media in the fight against anti-Semitism. She will also meet with EU officials, non-governmental organizations, and representatives of the Belgian Union of Jewish Students to discuss issues of anti-Semitism, tolerance and equality.
