Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Johnnie Carson will travel to Cameroon June 26-28 to discuss the United States’ partnership with the Government of the Republic of Cameroon on democracy, governance, and investment amongst other issues, as the people of Cameroon prepare to vote in presidential elections later this year.
From June 28-30, Assistant Secretary Carson will attend the African Union Summit in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea to address the summit’s theme of youth empowerment, and to discuss regional issues important to Africa.
