The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) is providing a grant of $1,503,049.84 to Colorado Correctional Industries, a division of the Colorado Department of Corrections, to establish the International Correctional Management Training Center (ICMTC). The ICMTC will be housed in the former Colorado Women’s Correctional Facility, a recently refurbished vacant correctional facility in Cañon City, Colorado. The grant will provide start-up and first-year operating funds for in-residence training courses designed for the professional development of corrections managers and staff from developing countries.
The ICMTC will be part of an ongoing program of cooperation between INL and the Colorado Department of Corrections, which began in 2008 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
