Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Michael Posner will speak Wednesday, July 13 on Internet Freedom and Human Rights as part of a New America Foundation conference on “How to Ignite, or Quash, a Revolution in 140 Characters or Less.” The Assistant Secretary’s remarks will call for governments to address underlying societal grievances, rather than shooting the “instant messenger.”
