QUESTION: What is your reaction to Bolivian police who detained indigenous marchers who were protesting a road that will cut through their territory? What is our position on such a road?
ANSWER: We share the view of the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights that the TIPNIS road issue should be resolved peacefully through dialogue and consultation under Bolivian law and established international standards.
