Deputy Secretary of State Bill Burns will deliver keynote remarks to the World Affairs Councils of America 2011 National Conference at 9:00 a.m. EST on Friday, November 4 at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC.
The Deputy Secretary’s remarks on “Asia, the Americas, and U.S. Strategy for a New Century” will focus on the importance of strengthening our relationships across the Pacific and throughout our hemisphere in order to ensure economic prosperity and to cement U.S. leadership in the decades ahead.
Along with Deputy Secretary Burns, other keynote speakers at the 2011 National Conference will include Senator John McCain, former National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley, and President of Yale University Richard C. Levin.
The World Affairs Councils of America (WACA) is the largest national non-partisan network of local councils dedicated to educating the American public on global issues.
