Question: Has the Rewards for Justice program ever removed anyone from its list? If so, who and why?
Answer: Yes, the Rewards for Justice (RFJ) program has removed various suspects from its list over the years, including Baitullah Mehsud in 2009; Bali bomber Dulmatin in 2010; and Usama bin Ladin and Fazul Abdullah Mohammed in 2011. Suspects may be removed from the RFJ list for a variety of reasons, including when they are taken into custody by law enforcement or security forces, or are confirmed dead by an authoritative source.
