Question: What is the U.S. response to allegations by Russian officials that the United States did not provide proper consular notification regarding Vladimir Zdorovenin, a Russian national recently indicted for finance and cyber crimes in the U.S.?
Answer: The FBI formally notified the Russian Consulate General in New York City of the arrest on January 17. Russian government concerns about consular notification and access in this case should be directed to the Department of Justice or the Department of State. For further questions on the investigation or the criminal charges, I refer you to the FBI.
