Peruvian Minister of Development and Social Inclusion Carolina Trivelli and a Peruvian Government team will visit Washington, D.C., from February 21 – 23. The purpose of their trip is to deepen bilateral social and economic inclusion cooperation between Peru and the United States.
In Washington, Minister Trivelli will meet with Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Maria Otero, as well as other senior officials from the Departments of State, Education, Agriculture, and Health and Human Services and the United States Agency for International Development. She will discuss a range of social and economic inclusion issues including early childhood education, nutrition, women’s empowerment, indigenous and other marginalized groups. Minister Trivelli and the delegation will also conduct fieldwork covering small business development and efficient provision of government services through eGovernment programs.
