Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs Esther Brimmer will travel to Geneva on February 28 to represent the United States at the urgent debate on Syria during the high-level segment of the UN Human Rights Council’s 19th regular session.
Assistant Secretary Brimmer will deliver the U.S. statement on the human rights situation in Syria, and will remain in Geneva through March 1 in order to participate in additional Council activities and for consultations with counterparts.
