U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Ambassador Marc Grossman is traveling to Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Warsaw, the Hague, Berlin, Paris, and Brussels March 18-24, 2012.
Ambassador Grossman is traveling through Europe to consult with our NATO Allies and Partners in advance of the NATO summit in Chicago in May. In the lead up to the summit, we are focused on how best to support sustainable and sufficient Afghan National Security Forces for Afghanistan’s future and how we can further strengthen the NATO-Afghanistan Enduring Partnership. Chicago will therefore be a critical milestone in our effort in Afghanistan, as leaders come together to discuss transition and the future of our support for Afghanistan and its security forces. Ambassador Grossman also will participate in the Brussels Forum.
