The Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy (ACIEP) recently submitted recommendations to the State Department’s Economic and Business Affairs Bureau with a report entitled, “Corporate Advantage: How Women Leaders Elevate the Bottom Line.” The report surveys the contributions of women as leaders of corporations and organizations, including their impact on a company’s bottom line and the success of an organization’s operations.

The report provides a set of insights and recommendations gleaned from numerous studies on the topic, a compendium of exemplary current programs and projects to move woman to the top, and suggested next steps for moving forward. These findings highlight the programs and policies that have worked in numerous organizations to move women ahead and to support the United States’ global economic agenda.

The report is now available at http://www.state.gov/e/eb/adcom/aciep/index.htm

The ACIEP serves in an advisory capacity concerning major issues in international economic policy. The Committee provides information and advice on the effective integration of economic interests into overall foreign policy and on the Department of State's role in advancing American economic and commercial interests in a competitive global economy. The Committee also appraises the roles and limits of international economic institutions and advises on the formulation of U.S. economic policy and positions.
