Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman will travel to Sana’a, Yemen from March 25-28, 2012. While in Sana’a, he will meet with President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi and other senior government officials, as well as youth leaders, women activists, and members of the media. This trip provides an opportunity to highlight the U.S. commitment to Yemen’s political transition as well as the need for the transition process to allow broad participation by the Yemeni people.
Assistant Secretary Feltman will then travel to Doha, Qatar from March 28-29. While in Doha, he will meet with senior government officials. His meetings will cover the full range of bilateral and regional issues, including ongoing efforts to end the bloodshed in Syria.
