Assistant Secretary Jacobson to Address Seventh Annual Latin America Conference

On Friday, May 11, at 10:00 a.m., Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Roberta S. Jacobson will deliver remarks at the Seventh Annual Latin America Conference, hosted by the University of Miami’s Center for Hemispheric Policy at the Conrad Hotel, 1395 Brickell Avenue, Miami, FL.

Assistant Secretary Jacobson will address "U.S. Policy Toward the Americas: The Summit and Beyond." This event is open to the press. For more information about the conference, contact Isabel Artime at (305) 284-9918 or www.miami.edu/chp.

At 10:30 a.m., following her remarks at the conference, the Assistant Secretary will participate in a press availability in Room Lisbon B on the 3rd floor of the Conrad Hotel. To attend the press availability, please RSVP to Isabel Malowany at malowanyi@state.gov by noon on May 10. Reservations will be granted as space permits.

Media representatives may attend upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. government-issued identification card, (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
