The United States condemns in the strongest possible terms today’s attacks in Damascus. Any and all violence that results in the indiscriminate killing and injury of civilians is reprehensible and cannot be justified. In order to prevent another escalation of violence, we continue to call on the Syrian regime to fully and immediately implement the Annan plan.
