On Thursday, June 21, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will meet with ESPN President John Skipper and make an announcement regarding international efforts to empower women and girls through sports. She will be joined by leading American women in sports and 16 female track and field athletes from the Caribbean who are in the United States participating in an international exchange program as part of the Empowering Women and Girls through Sports Initiative. This announcement will be open press and begin at 9:20 a.m. at the Department of State.
