Question: What is the U.S. position on the Israeli Government’s renewal of the closure of various Palestinian offices and institutions in Jerusalem such as the Orient House?
Answer: We would refer individuals to the Government of Israel for information on its decision.
As we have consistently said, we encourage the parties to implement their obligations under the 2003 Roadmap, and return to negotiations that will lead to an agreement on a two-state solution that addresses the various issues facing both parties, and we oppose any actions that undermine faith and confidence in a negotiated settlement to the conflict.
