Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Tara Sonenshine will travel to Syracuse, New York on Thursday, October 18 to engage with local journalists, students, and academics. Under Secretary Sonenshine will deliver remarks at Syracuse University’s 5th Annual Public Diplomacy Symposium entitled “Public Diplomacy: The Lodestar for 21st Century Statecraft.” In her discussion, she will address how traditional foreign policy tools are achieving deeper reach and dimension through newly innovated and adapted instruments of statecraft such as digital and social media.
