Assistant Secretary for Conflict and Stabilization Operations (CSO) Rick Barton will travel to Turkey from November 13-18 and to London from November 18-20, 2012.
In Turkey, Assistant Secretary Barton will meet with members of the unarmed Syrian opposition and Turkish Government officials. In London, he is planning to meet with his British counterparts to discuss ways to further collaborate on aiding the unarmed Syrian opposition. Assistant Secretary Barton will also participate in a roundtable hosted by Chatham House.
