Special Representative for Global Intergovernmental Affairs Reta Jo Lewis will travel to Doha, Qatar, December 6-8, 2012.
Special Representative Lewis will serve as a member of the U.S. delegation to the 18th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-18), which will take place in Doha, November 26-December 7. She will also engage global state and local leaders through an outreach event on issues surrounding sustainability and climate change on Thursday, December 6 from 6 p.m.-7 p.m., at the U.S. Center in Doha. Additionally, she will moderate the panel discussion, entitled, “Actions at the Local Level: Integrating Energy, Climate and Economic Development.” This event will be open to media coverage.
