Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Kurt M. Campbell will travel to the Philippines, Malaysia, and New Zealand, December 10-17, 2012.

Assistant Secretary Campbell will join Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs Mark Lippert in Manila, Philippines December 12 to lead the U.S. delegation to the third annual U.S. – Philippines Bilateral Strategic Dialogue. Assistant Secretary Campbell will also meet with Philippines Foreign Secretary del Rosario and other senior Philippine officials.

On December 13, Assistant Secretary Campbell will travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where he will meet with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib and also plans to meet with senior officials at the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives of civil society, and the private sector.

Assistant Secretary Campbell will be in New Zealand December 14-16 where he will participate in the U.S – New Zealand Strategic Dialogue and meet with senior officials.

Assistant Secretary Campbell returns to Washington, DC on December 17.
