On Monday, February 11th, Assistant Secretary for African Affairs Johnnie Carson will deliver remarks on why the United States, African countries, and the broader international community should redouble efforts to find a sustainable solution to persistent instability in the Democratic Republic of Congo that has claimed millions of lives and displaced hundreds of thousands of civilians. He also will offer proposals for moving forward. After the presentation, Ambassador Carson will take questions from the audience.
