Secretary of State John Kerry will convene with German young people his first "Youth Connect" event, a forum to hear thoughts and answer questions about global affairs. The event, to be held on Tuesday, February 26 at 10:30 a.m. Berlin time (GMT+1, EST+6), will be moderated by television host Cherno Jobatey and streamed in partnership with Facebook and U.S. Embassy Berlin.
“Youth Connect: Berlin” will be the first of a series of events Secretary Kerry plans during his tenure to connect with the next generation of leaders and innovators around the world. This event will focus on the importance of the U.S.-European relationship in addressing global challenges; U.S.-Germany bilateral relations; increasing trade and economic opportunities between Europe and the United States; and the use of technology in connecting individuals and causes.
