Senior Advisor for Burma W. Patrick Murphy will travel to Dhaka, Bangladesh; Naypyitaw, Burma; and Tokyo, Japan, March 12-18, to consult with international partners — including senior government officials and civil society groups — on reforms and other developments in Burma. In particular, he will discuss U.S. policies, conflict in Rakhine and Kachin States, and international support, including responsible investment, to strengthen reform and reconciliation efforts.
Senior Advisor Murphy will be in Dhaka March 12-13; in Rangoon, Naypyitaw, and other Burmese cities March 13-16; and in Tokyo March 17-18.
