Hosted by Secretary of State John F. Kerry and Secretary of the Treasury Jacob J. Lew, the fifth joint meeting of the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue will be held in Washington, D.C., from July 10-11, 2013.*

Please see below for the current schedule of media opportunities. A Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED) credential is required for all members of the media wishing to cover the events surrounding the S&ED at the U.S. Departments of State and Treasury. Please note that the deadline for submitting an application for credentials has passed and NO additional credentials will be allocated at this time. Those who have been credentialed should have received an email confirmation. For questions on credentialing, please contact the Treasury Department Press Office, (202) 622 – 8541 or Megan.Jordan@treasury.gov.

Press credentials may be picked up on Tuesday, July 9 between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Washington Foreign Press Center, 529 14th Street, NW, Suite 800. You must present a U.S. passport or government issued photo ID and media outlet credential to pick up your S&ED media credential.

2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. S&ED registered press can pick up their S&ED credentials at the Washington Foreign Press Center at National Press Building, 8th floor, 529 14th St. NW, Suite 800, Washington, D.C. 20045.

Wednesday, July 10, 2013

8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Press Filing Center opens for S&ED credentialed media only in the Department of State, Exhibit Hall.

Press will need to enter through the 23rd St. entrance.

9:00 a.m. Secretary Kerry, Secretary Lew, State Councilor Yang, and Vice Premier Wang participate in the S&ED Joint Opening Session in the Dean Acheson Auditorium at the Department of State.

Pre set for video cameras: 4:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. from the 23rd Street Lobby.
Final access time for journalists and still photographers: 8 a.m. from the 23rd Street Lobby.

10:15 a.m. Secretary Kerry, Secretary Lew, State Councilor Yang, and Vice Premier Wang participate in the Joint Session on Climate Change in the Thomas Jefferson Room at the Department of State.

* NOTE: As the State Department has previously announced, Secretary Kerry has remained in Massachusetts since his wife's hospitalization.
