Assistant Secretary for Economic and Business Affairs Jose W. Fernandez Travel to Mexico and El Salvador

Assistant Secretary for Economic and Business Affairs Jose W. Fernandez will travel to San Salvador, El Salvador and Mexico City, Mexico September 17-20. He will meet with government and business leaders to further strengthen U.S. economic relations with the two countries. While in Mexico City, Assistant Secretary Fernandez will travel with a U.S. delegation to the U.S.-Mexico High Level Economic Dialogue.

President Obama announced the creation of the High Level Economic Dialogue during his May 2013 trip to Mexico. The High Level Economic Dialogue further strengthens our commercial and economic relationship with Mexico. It will be held annually, and hosted by each government on a rotating basis.
