Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Uzra Zeya visited Geneva, Switzerland, October 21-22, 2013, to deliver the U.S. intervention on China during the 17th Session of the Human Rights Council Universal Periodic Review Working Group. While in Geneva, she met with United Nations Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights Flavia Pansieri and with non-governmental organizations to discuss a broad range of human rights issues.
