Secretary of State John Kerry will commemorate Veterans Day by delivering brief remarks to announce a new public-private veterans partnership at the US Department of State on October 31.
Secretary Kerry will discuss the strategic partnership created between the government and private sector in order to promote career opportunities for veterans interested in pursuing foreign affairs.
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), and Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) are also partners in this effort.
Other speakers joining Secretary Kerry include USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah, Department of Veterans Affairs Assistant Secretary Dr. Tommy Sowers, and Representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii.
The Secretary’s remarks will begin at 2:15 p.m. at the Department of State.
The Secretary’s remarks will be open to the press.
