Dr. Tomicah Tillemann, the State Department’s Senior Advisor for Civil Society and Emerging Democracies, will travel to Warsaw, Poland to represent the United States at the Governing Council of the Community of Democracies (CD) on December 10, 2013. The Governing Council is the highest decision making body of the Community of Democracies.
The meeting will address a broad range of issues related to democracy and democratization, including challenges facing civil society in Russia and the use of new technologies to support government interaction with citizens.
