Families across the country are preparing for the holiday travel season. On Thursday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m., EST, the Department will host a Google+ Hangout to discuss holiday travel, including passports, safety, and multi-generational travel.
This Hangout is a collaboration between the Bureau of Consular Affairs and Blogalicious, an online community that represents the diversity of women in social media and business. On hand to answer questions will be Deputy Assistant Secretary for Passport Services Brenda Sprague; Deputy Assistant Secretary for Overseas Citizen Services James Pettit; and bloggers Carol Cain (Girl Gone Travel) and Elena Sonnino (Live.Do.Grow.). Andrea Sachs of the Washington Post will moderate the hangout.
The hangout will be broadcast live on the Department of State’s YouTube channel and Google+ page. Questions can be submitted in advance via Facebook and Twitter using #AskState and tweeting at @StateDept or @TravelGov.
