The U.S. Department of State’s San Juan Passport Agency will open to the public on Monday, January 13, 2014. The Agency is located at Centro Gubernamental Minillas on Avenida Jose de Diego, Parada 22.
U.S. citizens in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands with urgent travel, or who need to obtain a visa in less than four weeks, will now be able to apply in person at this Agency, instead of having to travel to Miami to obtain a U.S. passport. Both the U.S. passport book and card will be available at the San Juan Passport Agency. Standard expedite charges will apply.
Information on how to apply for a U.S. passport, passport application fees, and other travel information are available at travel.state.gov. U.S. citizens may also obtain passport information by phone by calling the National Passport Information Center toll-free at 1-877-487-2778 (Se Habla Español).
