Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Russel will travel to London and Brussels January 13-15.
While in London, Assistant Secretary Russel will meet with Stephen Lillie, Asia-Pacific Director, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO); the Rt Hon Hugo Swire, Minister of State at the FCO; and Edward Llewellyn, Chief of Staff to Prime Minister David Cameron. Assistant Secretary Russel will also give remarks at Chatham House.
In Brussels, on January 14-15, Assistant Secretary Russel will meet with Viorel Isticioaia-Budura, Managing Director, European External Action Service (EEAS); David O’Sullivan, Chief Operating Officer, EEAS; Marcus Cornaro, Deputy Director General, EuropeAid; Alexander Vershbow, NATO Deputy Secretary General; and the EU Asia-Oceania Working Party (COASI). Assistant Secretary Russel will also participate in a panel discussion at the German Marshall Fund of the United States and hold a press roundtable.
Assistant Secretary Russel returns to Washington, D.C., on January 15.
