Assistant Secretary of State William R. Brownfield's Travel to Afghanistan

Ambassador William R. Brownfield, Assistant Secretary of State for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), will travel to Afghanistan on January 25-28. While in Afghanistan, Assistant Secretary Brownfield will meet with senior Afghan Government officials to discuss counternarcotics and criminal justice assistance.

Assistant Secretary Brownfield will also participate in events that demonstrate our continued commitment to building the capacity of Afghan criminal justice institutions and supporting Afghan efforts to reduce both the supply of, and demand for, illicit drugs.
