Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Roberta S. Jacobson will travel to Mexico, April 2–4, to reinforce bilateral cooperation in protecting human rights, ensuring safe and secure communities, and promoting economic prosperity. Assistant Secretary Jacobson and Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Michael Kozak will participate in the U.S.–Mexico Bilateral Human Rights Dialogue with Mexican officials. She will also visit the state of Oaxaca with Mexican Foreign Secretary Jose Antonio Meade and Under Secretary for North American Affairs Sergio M. Alcocer.
