Secretary of State John Kerry will deliver remarks at the Atlantic Council’s “Toward a Europe Whole and Free” Conference on Tuesday, April 29, at 1:30 p.m. at the Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C.
The Secretary will join the Atlantic Council to celebrate the historic milestones and shared values that have forged a strong, democratic, and prosperous Transatlantic community. He will commemorate the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s 65th anniversary since its founding and recognize the five, ten, and fifteen-year anniversaries of previous rounds of NATO enlargement. The Secretary will mark the ten year anniversary of the European Union’s historic enlargement that added ten countries to the EU’s ranks. He will reaffirm the United States’ longstanding commitment to a Europe whole, free, and at peace.
