Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland Travel to Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, Macedonia, the United Kingdom and Belgium

On July 11, Assistant Secretary Nuland will travel to Dubrovnik, Croatia, to attend the 9th annual Croatia Forum, where she will deliver a keynote speech on the western Balkans and Transatlantic relations. She will also meet with senior Croatian Government officials, as well as regional leaders attending the conference, on issues such as regional and energy security.

The Assistant Secretary will travel to Podgorica, Montenegro and Tirana, Albania, on July 12, where she will meet with senior government officials and political leaders to discuss various bilateral and regional issues, including Euro-Atlantic integration.

She will then visit Pristina, Kosovo and Belgrade, Serbia, on July 13, where she will meet with senior government officials and political leaders to review a range of issues. In particular, she will discuss the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue and progress on implementation of the April 19, 2013 Brussels normalization agreement.

On July 14, the Assistant Secretary will travel to Skopje, Macedonia to meet with senior government officials and political leaders on the country’s Euro-Atlantic path, as well as other issues of mutual concern.

Assistant Secretary Nuland will then travel to London, the United Kingdom to meet with senior British government officials to discuss the global issues on which we closely coordinate, as well as preparations for the NATO Summit and ongoing events in Ukraine.

In Brussels, Belgium, on July 17 Assistant Secretary Nuland will have meetings with senior European Union officials as part of regular consultations with the EU to discuss the full range of global issues on the Transatlantic agenda.
