Deputy Secretary Antony Blinken welcomed today Republic of Korea (ROK) Deputy National Security Advisor Cho Tae-yong to Washington for productive discussions on a range of issues related to North Korea.

Deputy Secretary Blinken and Deputy National Security Advisor Cho reaffirmed the importance of our close coordination in responding to the DPRK’s destabilizing behavior, including its recent violations of UN Security Council resolutions. They agreed to continue bilateral strategic consultations.
