March 21, 1990 - Statement by the President: establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and the Republic of Namibia.

(NOTE: 11/8/90: Accreditation Review Panel agreed to accept Hinyangerwa Asheeke, Ambassador of Namibia to the United States, as Charge d'Affaires of Namibia to the United States - ON AN EXCEPTIONAL BASIS (because he resides in NY and is not asking to be accredited as an ambassador but only as a charge d’Affaires a.i.).
