Please note that in early 2006 the renamed Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs assumed official responsibility in the State Department for the following diplomatic portfolios: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. These countries however were included in the Country Reports on Terrorism: Europe and Eurasia Overview.
